100% Avocado Facemask

Saving the best for last, avocados can be cut into slices and used as a conventional facial mask. By rubbing the slices onto the face, it helps to remove unsightly blackheads and restore the skin to its natural shine.

This is one of our favourite avocado facemask recipes because it really works to give your skin a beautiful glow. Don’t worry, it’s not too sticky, but it is delicious.

Honey and Avocado Facemask

1 Ripe avocado

1 Tablespoon of honey

This is a hydrating facemask, perfect for cleaning and moisturizing. Honey is gentle astringent and extremely moisturizing. The combination of avocado and honey in this will refine the pores, tighten the skin, and smooth over wrinkles and reduce aging spots.

Mash up the avocado with a fork and stir in the honey until it turns into a paste. Once done apply it to your skin and leave it on for 15- 20 minutes. When you’re done, wash off the mixture with lukewarm water and pat your face dry with a soft towel.

Orange, Lemon & Avocado Facemask

1 ripe avocado

1/2 fresh Orange (juice)

1-teaspoon fresh Lemon juice

1-teaspoon extra virgin Olive oil

The lemon and orange in this avocado facial mask help you slough off dead skin cells, while the avocado and olive oil do their moisturizing business

Peel the avocado and cut it in pieces, mash these together with the rest of the ingredients until you have a smooth and creamy paste.

Smooth the paste gently and equally with your fingertips on your clean face and neck; keep the eye area clear.

Now lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 20-25 minutes.

Then wash it off with alternately cold and warm water, end with a splash of cold; pat your skin dry with a clean towel. Finally tone and apply one of our moisturizers.

As you can see, it is very easy to make a healthy, delicious and fast facemask based on avocado.
